60hz or 144hz?

currently, I have old Asus HDMi display with 2ms response time and 60hz and I get 60-64 FPS in GTA 5 online with ultra settings, so should I upgrade to 144hz or 144hz will also give me same fps?
i know there are so many people who answered this general question already but please help me behalf on my rig,thanks,

RIG
intel i7-4930k @3.40ghz
32gb ram

EVGA GTX 770 2GB

NOTE-i play only GTA 5 online so other games don't matter.thanks

Your FPS will go above 60 even if your monitor has 60hz if vsync is,off, you are only getting 60 from your monitor though. I don't,think you should upgrade your monitor

i am using VSYNC and my current monitor is 60hz only and i think we cant get more than 65 fps on 60hz monitor with gtx 1080 also(i am not sure about the line i just wrote about fps) so i am not sure can i get 80-90fps with 144hz or not, coz the fact is i have never tested 144hz display yet.

i am thinking to upgrade to 27 inch with 1ms and 75hz instead of 144hz but now my confusion is i have two options of monitors, one is

both are 75hz, only diffrence is one has freesync tech. and another dont. thank you so much for your help dude.

I think you are right, I shoud invest in GTX 10 series instead of monitor, Would you refer me which one should I buy? Coz there are some like EVGA GTX 1080 AND GIGABYTE 1080 etc.
