Hello all,

I recently began an upgrade project on my current rig that features a 7700k with a 1070 GPU in a mid-tower ATX case (Corsair 460X).

I have purchased:
-a Ryzen TR 1920X
-MSI ATX X399 MOBO
-EVGA SuperNOVA 850W Gold Full Modular PSU
-I am going to use the x4 8GB ADATA RAM sticks I have

I plan on purchasing an RTX 2080Ti when they go in stock. I am a gamer that also is getting back into productivity (video/photo editing, animation, etc) and wanted to know if this computer will be able to comprably perform those tasks. I want to make sure that the CPU won't be hugely bottlenecking the 2080Ti for games (I do know that TR has a gaming mode where I can have Windows ignore half the cores cutting it down to 6). At the same time, I want this computer to be set for the next couple years where upgrading won't be necessary at all.

Let me know your thoughts, thank you!

Your 1920x will perform about the same as a 7700k in heavily multithreaded games but will be about 10% slower in games that like only a few cores.

Those benches were done with a 1080ti and it's being held back a bit by the 1920x but not to a degree where performance is terrible or games become unplayable.
