New mobo, no signal on monitors

So I have a rather curious issue.

My new motherboard ASRock z270 killer doesn't seem to work.
That, or my GTX 960 is suddenly busted, it still worked fine earlier today before switching parts.

None of my monitors get signal from either GPU or Mobo's intergrated card.
I've checked the troubleshooting list on these forums for post problems.
GPU is seated firmly, same for component and monitor cables.

CPU is correctly placed, PSU is working fine and GPU's LEDs light up.

What makes this interesting is that the very same issue now also occurs on my older setup I used earlier today, same components except for CPU, PSU and RAM.

So at this point I'm fairly confused what's at fault here.
All parts get power, so shouldn't be PSU.
Both CPUs run on their respective setups fine.
Very unlikely two different set of RAM suddenly both get corrupted today on two different motherboards.

I feel like it's the GPU but how come none of the monitors get signal from either intergrated cards on mobos?

Newer setup has i7-6700k and g.skill ripjaws 16gb DDR4 @3000Mhz. Older setup has i5-3570k and g.skill ripjaws 16gb DDR3 @ 1600Mhz. I have Corsair 750AX for PSU. Rest of the parts I listed above.

This morning, I tried connecting a monitor directly to integrated card with GPU unseated entirely.
Works on both motherboards.

So the culprit is my GPU, GTX 970 (falsely wrote it as 960 previously).
Is there anything to try and test anymore, or is the card a lost cause at this point?
Like mentioned previously, on both motherboards the GPU is seated firmly and properly fed power from PSU, as LED's light up and fans spin.

The card is about a three and a half years old, I've never faced such an issue with a GPU before, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
