As the title says.
PC specs:
PSU: Corsair HX850
CPU cooler: Corsair H80i
CPU: Intel I5-7600k
Video Card: GeForce 1070
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (2x 8gb sticks)
Harddrives: 2 SSD and 2 HDD
Unfortunately I woke up this morning to my PC off (I always leave it on overnight) and making a clicking sound.
The fan on my CPU cooler seemingly works fine, as does a red LED on the motherboard itself. Nothing else powers on.
When I first power it on, the CPU cooler fan revs up like it always does, then shortly after I start to hear a clicking sound every 4-5 seconds. Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzo-i6B9erQ . With each click, the red LED flickers a little bit, but it's hard to tell if the CPU cooler fan slows down at all (and not because it's so dark in the video).
At first I thought it might've been my harddrive, but I unplugged that and the clicking still happens. After googling around, it sounds like clicking is something the Corsair HX850 does.
I'm not sure what else I can try to narrow this down.
Update-
I don't think it's the PSU. I ended up taking it out and using the paperclip method (bridge a green cable to a black one on the motherboard connector) and hooked up a single old molex harddrive (while disconnecting everything else). The harddrive seemed to start up fine; there was no clicking either. The fan on the psu itself only started up briefly before stopping, but I think the HX850 is a 'fanless' model.
