I have a beach club that has WiFi access points around the club. There will be up to 120 clients on the internet at any certain time. I would like to purchase a firewall appliance to install into the network. What would you recommend? We are not looking to spend a lot, but I do want to supply good secure WiFi for my guests. Also, if you know what the price of subscriptions are, please include those fees in you answer. Thanks!!!!!!

What function do you expect the firewall to do.

In general anything on your network is protected from the internet by the NAT. If your concern is protecting the wifi users from each other than is going to be complex to implement mostly because of how switches and AP function. You would have to come with some design that forces all traffic to pass through the firewall.

You can use a feature called wireless isolation that prevents wifi users from talking to each other but that only applies within a AP. WiFi users on different AP will still be able to communicate because the traffic has been moved to ethernet between the AP.

I’m not sure if our rate speed that we pay for at the club. We might increase that speed depending on what we pay for now. But the typical speed we get or are looking to get is around 40mbps
