Screen freezes, but audio continues.

Hello everyone,

Over the past months I’m getting occasional screen freezes. It happens mostly while running games (Like PUBG/Fortnite/Black Ops 4). It also happens when I’m not running any game.

2 Things can happen.
The screen freezes and the audio continues. Nothing reacts, so I have to hard reset by holding down the PC’s power button. When the PC restarts, the PC starts running, but the screen stays black. I have to hard reset the PC like 10 times before windows starts normally again.

The second thing that happens is that the PC reboots out of nowhere. And again: ‘’ When the PC restarts the pc starts running, but the screen stays black. I often have to hard reset the PC like 10 times before windows starts normally again.‘’

Can you maybe tell me the problem is related with my RAM stick?
Is it a big problem my bios is outdated?

Some observations:
When I replace the RAM stick in a different slot, the pc often works again.

System info says
BIOS-modus: Outdated

Specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 4690 @ 3.50GHz 53 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM: 8,00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
Motherboard: ASRock B85 Anniversary (CPUSocket) 28 °C
Graphics: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (MSI) 45 °C

Kind regards,

Joost
