Cant clear hard drive space

Earlier this week I decided to try and clear off some programs I don't use anymore from my windows 10 computer. At that time, I had around 500 Gbs of space used up. After deleting several programs the amount of space ROSE to 659 Gbs! Nothing I do has brought it down and it continues to go up every time I delete something else. I would like help with this! I have tried cleaning and defragmenting my drive using Windows' built-in tools and I restarted the computer. I don't know what else to try.

All I know is that when I delete an app, its storage is apparently added to the total storage instead of being removed... What are those Files you mentioned?

After this 'app deletion", did you by any chance reboot?
