Hyper X cloud flight problems

Hi

I bought a Hyper X cloud flight headset 2 days ago after seeing my brother get one and wanting one for myself. After coming home plugging it in and using discord my friend's said that my mic sounds terrible. I asked for feedback but they said "they couldn't explain it" but they say am I in a fish bowl and the sorts. I have yet to try other means of using the mic such as speaking in game or on another Voice chat program. There are no drivers required for this headset and I've updated windows, My audio drivers on my motherboard, checked the properties of the mic and still no success on the mic improving.

I have listened to the Device on Windows and it sounds clear as day and perfect. I'm not sure if this is a problem with discord. But I hope someone can recommend some help.

Ps: this headset is wireless and connects via USB.

Solution
Borrow (with permission) your brother's headset. Try it on your computer.

Try your headset (again with permission) on your brother's computer. Do not change anything on his computer.

See if the problem follows your headset or stays with your computer.

If the problem follows the headset it may be defective.

If the problem stays with your computer then the problem may be a configuration issue.

Compare your PC's audio configuration with your brother's PC's audio configuration. Match, but do not change his settings.

Methodically narrow down the possibilities - may indeed be Discord related. Reinstall.
