anyone care to help?

i have a dell inspirion n5050 and ive got it upgrades with 8gb rame 2tb hdd i7 intel 2.20ghz-3.00ghz with hd 3000 graphics and im just hoping someone can help with boosting ram and overclock the i7 im a bit knowleged in laptop ive built them from trash to good and running so it want be difficult to guide me ive done it once from a youtube video couple years ago but cant find it so anyone willing to help a brother?

I would and do refrain from overclocking anything on a laptop because it's usually paid in price of high temperatures, serious battery life degradation and BIOS is very restricted with it's options. Gains, if OC is possible at all are minimal.
Even with desktop PCs. less than 300 -400MHz gain mean nothing in terms of overall performance.

Overclocking is not possible through normal means:- Prebuilt laptops *and* desktops purchased from brands like Dell/HP/Compaq have this problem because their motherboards and thus the BIOS installed on those motherboards only have options that won't invalidate your warranty.

You can still overclock your GPU using MSI Afterburner, and using Throttlestop to stop your CPU limiting, but I will not be held responsible for any toasted parts so I recommend you just throw those apps into Google and read a quick guide.

hey thanks for replying me and i got a desktop i would like to overclock but the display wont come on ive tryed so manything but nothing like its a good motherboard and power supply have 3.00ghz amd and nvidia graphics card....u think u could try n help fix this display issue???
