I bought my LG WH16NS40 on sept 24th, 2017 and for the past year its ran beautifully. It was quiet n everything. I never used it for burning, just watching.
A few days ago i was watching Matrix and the drive just started acting weird and made the film slow down and eventually stop. Now the drive refuses to play Blue rays. It rarely recognizes the Blue Ray but eventually the drive freezes and then doesn't recognize it. Dvd's work perfectly though.
When it tries to play a Bue ray the laser kinda makes a clicking sound and seems to not be able to read the disc. The laser turns on so it seems like it works fine. The drive make a failing sound when it seems to not recognize the disc and the laser turns off. Sometimes it spins the disc really fast.
I've tried about everything. I updated the drive firmware, cleaned the laser lens, ran windows diagnostic, everything!
I really dont want to spend another $50-$70 for a new one.
help plz!
