Is it better for just a SSD or both SSD and HDD?

I'm currently planning on building a really good PC, mainly for gaming, but some work. What I want to know is whether or not I should just add SSD, or one of those along with a HDD. Money is no object, thought I should say that since I've heard that SSD's are expensive. I'll put my build below. Also, if you think I should do HDD and SSD, is Intel Optane worth it?

If money is no object, go for SSD's. But $ for data, mech drive is still the way to go.
Ive got all mech drives (except for boot) in my home server, but my desktop (mainly for gaming/streaming) has 3x 250GB SSD's - I cant use a system that has a mech boot drive anymore :D

Ignore Optane.

SSD only or SSD + HDD?
That depends completely on your budget and space needs.

"I've heard that SSD's are expensive..."
Per GB, yes, they are more expensive than an HDD.
1TB HDD = $50
1TB SATA III SSD = $200
1TB NVMe SSD = $300

My system is SSD only, 6 drives of various sizes and designated uses.
Of course, the large space suckers like movies and music live on a 12TB NAS box.

The cool thing about drives is that you can add new ones easily, as your space needs increase.
