I’ve had my pc for about a year and a half, and just recently my pc has not been able to connect to the internet. I singles all of the possible problems down to the Ethernet port on my motherboard. My Ethernet port is on the same module as 2 other USB’s. Is it possible the only the Ethernet port is fried? Are there any solutions?

Solution
I should note that ethernet connectors can sometimes be a pain. I had one that worked on my old TV but wouldn't on the new TV. If you touched the cable it would connect. So try a different ethernet cable.

have you checked your cable.

Where are you connecting your PC. Check the switch/router to see if you see any network lights. Do you see any network lights on the motherboard.

We need to understand if it is a HW issue or a software issue.

How are you getting your IP, is the dhcp server working?

If you have other slots that aren't used, you can use the PCIe in those slots too (not PCI).

Cable is fine, there light is on in the back of the router, and there is a light on the lan port, but it is not on. They are connected securely and my internet is working through WiFi, but not through my pc

That is just indicating that the connection isn't working. Which is what you posted.
