Alright so my friend wants to see if she can play ark. I know the startup commands or whatever that make it run better (Like -runallcores or whatever and such) and would it work with all those and on low?

CPU: E5200 (2.5 GHz dual core oof)
RAM: 5GB
GPU: GT 730

It will probably run, but it wont run well at all even on low.

I recently configured an OLD first gen I7 with 8 gigs of RAM and a gtx 660 to play ark, so that is my point of reference.

I spent quite a bit of time tweaking settings to make it not look horrible and still run OK. The GTX 660 is many times better than a GT 730 and it really struggles in ARK.
A GT 730 has 3 different versions which are also significantly different. Do you have the GDDR5 version? 1GB or 2GB? Depending on which one you have you will experience different levels of struggle.

In the end it will probably run, but a very large part of playing ARK is to enjoy the scenery, and I would say it is not worth it without upgrading first.
A game like Factorio will probably work quite well though on that system, though obviously it is not ARK but it is an amazing game to play with low specs.

The GPU is a 2GB, no clue which version :/ they don't know much about computers so it's like asking a 12 year old what a flywheel is.

What about using those startup commands I was talking about? For example uses all cores, removes foliage (which screws FPS up majorly) and so on? For example on Ark I have these: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d10 which helps FPS a lot.
