Is there a way to tell which hard drive has the active Windows on it.

I installed windows on my computer when I build it but now that I think back on it that was the worst part of the build. I had a lot of issues with it and after a long time of trying things and the exhaustion setting in I don't remember what actually happened. I have an HDD and an SSD that both have windows installed on them, however, I do not know which one I put my activation key into. Is there a way to tell which one that is?

Solution
Whichever drive device you booted from will be called the C: drive in Windows. So, examine the SIZE of your two drives. I bet the HDD is larger than your SSD. So, what is the size of your C: drive? That is the one your system boots from.

Power OFF
Disconnect the HDD
Power UP
See if the OS is 'activated'.
