ddg4005 thank you. The P2 variant appears to have gone down in price since, but your argument remains valid.

random thoughts:
Honestly, I've never been a fan of the P2, for the superficial reason that it's such a long PSU. To my eye it appears to be the same dimensions as the EVGA G2 1300, which I owned three years ago. The 1300 is very good, but I despised that ECO mode was absent. I could hear it's fan acoustics, and my hearing isn't the best. Back than I secretly wanted the EVGA P2 1200, whose wattage figure I've always thought made it an odd duck. I often wondered what use case EVGA (super flower) had in mind with that wattage figure.
