Hi everyone,

I recently acquired an Asus RT-AC68U, worked perfectly the first 3 weeks but now has developed a strange connectivity issue. It drops internet connectivity every 4-7 days, always around 8AM. When I log in to see the status it says "No Internet Connection" and the CPU usage is pinned at 100%. A reboot of the router fixes the problem completely, which leads me to believe it's not my Spectrum provided Arris cable modem. I'm out of ideas myself, I'm running the latest firmware and have even tried different Ethernet cables. Any ideas? Perhaps I should try Merlin firmware?

Thanks

You might try alternate firmware. The Merlin firmware is intended for stability over features -- http://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca/

It is possible that you have an overheating issue. Merlin firmware does provide a temperature graph for the router.
