Hey I was wondering if my CPU or GPU was damaged by overclocking one day after one day I decided that I didn't want it so set everything back to normal so my basically my question is have already damaged my CPU and GPU by only using theses settings for one day (actually under one day)

This was my settings inside MSI afterburner

Core clock: 125
Memory clock: 400
Voltage: 0
Fan speed:80

Solution
You are fine. Many people have there systems overclocked for the life of the system. My system has been overclocked for quite some time.

No. Generally you overclock gradually until it crashes the system. Then you back off the over clock, and stress test it for stability. That scenario puts more stress on the system than what you described.

The system is designed to crash before damage is done.

My kombuster inside MSI afterburner crashed while I tested the settings for best stability so the settings I got good stability were settings I listed above but my system didn't crash so am I still good?
