It could be down a full .25 frames/sec compared to the 8700K or 8086k! 
(However, I'd not purchase 7700K and 200 series MB intentionally now, what w/ 8400 and above being readily available, and 9700K/9800K/9900K being available soon...)

Yes 7700k can bottleneck even just one 1080ti in games like Hitman 1 or 2! Getting below 60 fps in crowded areas at 1080p or even 4k. With GPU utilisation going from solid 99% down to low 60's when this happens! But saying this, evwn 8700k or 9700k aint helpung here much anyway.
