So, that's pretty much the problem. It's not the connection dropping; the device is hardware disconnected(the "device removed" sound plays). This only affects me when running torrents. I've tried several programs(uTorrent and qBittorrent primarily) and it happens with both of them. I do not have this problem when downloading files with a browser or through Steam, or when streaming media such as through Netflix or even transferring files from my PC to another PC on my local network.
If there are any relevant qBittorent settings that would be helpful please let me know and I will provide them.
System specs:
OS: Win8.1
Network adapter: Realtek 8812BU connected in a USB-2.0 slot, configured to default settings, operating on 5Ghz channel at a constant 866.7 Mbps.
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
All drivers are current, except for the Realtek drivers. installing the latest version of those drivers caused the device to constantly hardware disconnect/reconnect in a loop. That driver is rolled back to the second latest version, which is stable, save for the issue I'm experiencing. Please let me know if there is any more information which could help.
