Hi i have seen a couple different articles about getting "freesync" working with a dedicated nvidia gpu on and AMD based "apu" system.
What my question is... if i was to invest in a dedicated amd gpu could i get freesync to work while using the 980ti to take care of the graphic load?
I know the workaround requires a "power save" mode gpu and a "main" gpu i refer to this techspot article link below.

Any help will be greatly appreciated tia. :)

So what your saying is that if already owned a freesync monitor (which I do) and had a nvidia card like ALOT of people do is that's its not practical to be able to obtain a cheap "freesync" enabled AMD card to take advantage of that tech at a low cost. Sorry mod but I think you need to research what my question is before putting your 2 cents in, also I apologise for "bumping my thread".

The answer is the same, technically feasible, but practically unworkable. It's a proof-of-concept thing; until or unless games more widely let you choose a particular GPU for rendering (most games do not), there's no benefit. If you feel that a solution that only works with a couple good AMD APUs and a subset of games is for you, go right ahead, it's your money.

Insults don't change the answer, they just change whether or not I will assist further. As it does in this case. I wish you the best of luck.
