Hi all. I've just built and fired up my new build and I'm having a bit of trouble. My X299 motherboard is only recognizing one of my two 16GB sticks of RAM. Originally when I picked it up I was weary since in the amazon title of the item it says 'for Z270 platform' but after speaking to someone who seemed knowledgeable at Fry's Electronics he had mentioned that DDR4 is DDR4 regardless of anything, so if my motherboard took DDR4 it should work. I'm worried that this may be a motherboard issue, since i switched the places of each stick of RAM and the other one worked, just not in unison.. I'm hoping the RAM is just incompatible, because it's a lot easier to just change RAM than to have to disconnect the motherboard entirely to replace it! I'm going to continue troubleshooting some things I have read in similar threads for the mean time..
This is the RAM I purchased..
G.SKILL 32GB (2 x 16GB) TridentZ RGB Series DDR4 PC4-28800 3600MHz for Intel Z270 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C17D-32GTZR
Thank you!
