max ram hp envy

I just ordered an HP Envy 110nr 17 inch laptop. it comes with 12 gb ram and I have looked for specs all over the net and cannot yet find the maximum amount of ram that I can end up with....any help would be great......extra info below
gen 8 8550U processor, 12 gb ram, 17 inch screen
model number is ac110nr

Yeah, the 12 gigs will be fine for that. No point spending money on 16 or more. RAM has very little impact on performance past a certain point. You should be looking at your CPU and GPU, probably more so your CPU for editing.

Upgrading the RAM won't really do you any good. Unless you have the very rare memory heavy workload, then you won't have any issues. If you really do want to upgrade, chances are it'll max out at 64 gigs, but that's complete overkill. Nobody should really ever need more than 32, and even that's too much for the vast majority of people. So yeah, just leave the RAM alone.

Thanks for the advice. I will be using this HP Envy for running Adobe Premiere Pro Editing 4K video. I don’t know how much ram I will need. My older Asus that is being retired had 16 FB ran and it ran okay but never rendered, edited 4 k on that one. M
