The HD sentinel is giving a bad health of 17%.
"There are 224 bad sectors on disk surface. The content of these sectors were moved to the spare area. Based on the number of remaining operations the health of the disk was decreaded in different steps. At this point, warranty replacement of the disk is not yet possible, only if health drops further. It is reco2to examine the log of the disk regularity. All the new problems found will be logged there"
Power on time: 50 days 22 hrs
Estimated remaining lifetime : 51 days
Total start stop count : 48334

What should i do now?

Well, my answer would be totally opposite to what the Seagate Expert says and would return it as faulty ASAP.
Which one do you trust? You know you have problems and you know HD Sentinel is telling you its going to fail, but the Seagate software says it is good.

This is only answerable by Seagate_surfer - but I'd RMA it asap with screenshots of the fail on HD Sentinel.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but seagate_surfer, what would be the reason one software says the hdd is bad and is going to fail soon, where as the Seagate software is saying the hdd is fine.
He indicates that the hdd is having problems, you suggest your software which says its OK, but why is there a discprency? From personal experience HD Sentinel has saved me and other people from losing work on a hdd.

It just doesn't make sense that the seagate software is saying its good when it isn't as he is experiencing problems, unless you think it could be a motherboard thing.

Backup everything that is important to you NOW
Either to a USB, another HDD or just buy some temporary space with Dropbox
but you are going to lose it all soon, when it dies.
