So i wanted to switch cases because of dust, fans etc. i installed everything as i had it in the other case but now no signal what so ever appears on the monitor. Everything lights up and fans are spinning.

Im afraid i may have damaged the PCI slot on the motherboard or the PCI plug on the GPU.

Is there a way to know for sure? or if there is something i missed

Thanks

EDIT: Switched mobo and gpu, still no signal

gpu video slots to keep the video card in have a lock on the back of them. take the rig down to one ram stick and onboard video. clear the cmos see if you get the mb splash screen. if you do try the gpu in the slot if there not post try the other video card slot.

So i switched motherboards and still no signal. I was able to use the conputer via the iGPU in my processor if that helps

I took my GPU apart to check the pcb and wound some loose screws in the small heatsink on the picture below however i doubt that has anything to do with it

There is a blacker uneven circle on the board. could this be that the card got shorted or something?

Thanks

So i have now bought a new motherboard AND a 1080 Ti.
STILL no signal from gpu to Monitor, onboard graphics still work fine

The card isnt even detected in BIOS under "PCI-E Devices/VGA Cards"
I tried to update BIOS with no success
The lights on the card where the power cables are are flashing white light, fans are spinning

Any ideas? Getting depressed as we speak

So apparently i forgot to put in the other end of the PCI-E connector, i assumed they were working cause the rgb and fans were spinning, turns out the card also gets power from the motherboard but does not fucking display it there for some reason...

Check everything even if it seems so obvious and stupid. Theres a reason they tell you to plug it in and out ;)
