Hi,
I would like to build a budget PC, but I am at a dilemma.
I am planing to keep the PC without any hardware upgrades for about 4-5 years.
I like the attractive price of the Ryzen 3 2200G APU and since I am building a PC that won't be used for gaming (only general web browsing and YouTube playback), I wanted to know if it is a right choice.
Since we don't really know what technology we will have in 5 years, doesn't it make more sense to build a budget PC with the 2200G and then doing a complete upgrade after that? Can I expect the 2200g to perform adequately for my purposes, or will the fact that the Ryzen 2200G, while only having 4 threads cause a substantial decrease in performance to the point where basic tasks such as watching Youtube videos will be noticeably affected?
Will I be better off by investing a bit more and buying a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU with a used GT 1030 GPU for instance? Will it really make my computer more futureproof and better performing in the long run?
Replies would be great.
