Okay, so somehow I got into this and now I'm like obsessed and totally confused; My Sager np6852 is about a year and a half old and to be honest, it wasn't great when it came out of the box. I'm constantly tweaking something and somehow I got into changing paging file size to improve performance.

It's been hours now, so I'm just going to ask and hope one of you experts here can help. I've read how this changing paging file size greatly improves their system and I've read how it's not worth it, but I want to see for myself. So what would be the appropriate initial and maximum sizes for a laptop running on 8GB of Ram and a 930.1GB HDD Disk Drive? I'm also running Windows 10. If there's any more info you need please let me know.

Thank you so much you guys for any help!

Solution
With 8GB RAM and an HDD, just leave it as System Managed.

The only performance issue is if you need to dip into the pagefile, and it is TooSmall.
A pagefile that is too large is simply just wasted drive space.
