So I purchased a prebuilt computer for gaming 2-3 years ago and I decided to build my own because that one broke and I needed several upgrades already. (CPU, so I have no access to it whatsoever) I’ve been looking around trying to find answers to new questions that arise constantly when I’m looking into this. So I’ve ordered all new specs and I just found out that I need to install drivers on it, the only issue is that the case doesn’t have an optical driver. So I’m curious how I would download these drivers in the first place. Another thing is that I want to download windows again but I cant use the previous key cause it’s OEM or something that I learned about today. But I had windows on the other computer that was prebuilt and didn’t have it activated but it was installed until I found the key and activated it, so is there a way to like have windows as my OS until I purchase it or just apply another activation key? Please answer if you could just 1. Answer and then 2. Answer thanks in advance!!!

Solution
You have to buy another Windows key. Just get another OEM key if you would like, luckily they are not expensive.

Most drivers you get on the included disks are already outdated so you won't need them. Go to the website of the product and you can download the drivers on there. If you have activated Windows you have to go to "updates" and then check for updates. It'll install most drivers and Windows updates.

You can also go to "Device manager" and then right click on one of the hardware. Select update drivers and it will check if there are any new drivers available.

Specs of your pc look fine!

You fixed it? :)

with windows 10 iso 1803. whe nyou make that bootable usb stick it going to have a lot of drivers in the windows install. if your lucky windows will install the onboard ethernet port drivers so you can do the updates. with your old oem key contact microsoft they may be able to move it for you. (lot people do the motherboard died and was replaced by this) to get there code moved.
