Which GPU should I buy?

Hi there, Im building a new PC and am having trouble deciding which GPU to buy. I can spend roughly £200 and want to play games at at least 60fps at 1080p on High to Ultra-high settings.

At the moment the two cards I have in mind are the RX 570 4gb and the Nvidia GTX 1060 3gb. I am currently gravitating towards the RX 570 because they are similar and also because of the extra VRAM which will make it more future-poof I believe.

The GPU will be paired with a Ryzen 5 1500x if that helps your decisions.

So, which one would you guys recommend of the two for what reasons? Or, if you don't recommend either of them which one do you recommend and why?

Thank you very much in advance,
Zac.

Hi, to prevent re-asking questions here I would like to ask a question in addition to this one. I'm in a similar boat but I'm choosing between RX580 vs GTX1060 6gb.

I've practically saw almost every review now and none of the reviews includes the ASUS Dual RX580 8gb OC. It has a clockrate of 1360Mhz and goes up to 1380Mhz. But does the clockrate matter? Because I see that the 1060 6gb has a better clockratespeed then the rx580.

clock rate is only relevant to the specific product or family of product, the architecture is very different for AMD/ NVidia GPU.

it's like judging a car's performance based on engine RPM, without taking account of the type of engine (diesel / gasoline, transmission gear ratio, tire size)

Wow thanks. The only reason I discounted it was because I believed it to be too much hahah cheers. Any reason its so cheap?
