I have a serious problem with the MSI RTX 2080ti TRIO.

I Need to set "Power Limited" in MSI After Burner to 110% to stable operate. If not, the games will crash or the system will hang (similar to not supply enough power for VGA) after about 2-5 minutes.
MSI RTX 2080ti TRIO using 2x8pin + 1x6pin.

Configuration:
1. X470 Taichi + R7 2700X + 16GB Corsair RGB 3000 + PSU Seasonic FX850W Gold Plus.

X370 Taichi + R5 2600X + 16GB Corsair RGB 3000 + PSU Acbel 90M 700W Gold Plus.

On both configurations, this terrible error occurred. Both machines are updated with the latest drivers, latest bios, using win10 pro 64 bit.

Does anyone have a similar situation? Unknown hardware or software error?

Solution
Yeah I had the exact same issue with games randomly crashing and just closing out or sometimes BSOD but that was more rare. MSI just told me to either RMA it or return it to the retailer. I got mine form microcenter so I would much rather return it there than ship it for an RMA. I got a money refund because they were out of stock of the RTX 2080ti and save one for me as it isn't allowed apparently. lucky for me they got a new shipment of rtx 2080ti's the next day and I bought an Asus dual rtx 2080ti as that was the last they had left when I got there. I have been using the card for over 3 hours without a single crash in Assassins creed odyssey which prior would usually last about 5 mins before it crashed. the longest it lasted with the...
As I see the GPU requires 2x8Pin, soo in theory they should supply 150W per 8pin+PCIE 75W.
Using single 2x8Pin from single line can do that stability issue.
From my experience with GTX 470 which draws around 250W, I've had artifacts with VS550 using single 2x6pin connector to feed GPU, sometimes not, not even after overclocking.

Soo have you used 2 seperate 8plugs or 1 line with 2 plugs of 8pin?

I'm using 1 line with 2 plugs of 8pin and 1 line with 6pin... but i dont thinks it is source of problem, because on 1080ti with 2x8pin on 1 line, it was worked perfect.

The cards are voltage limited. It's a pretty well known issue now. Gigabyte and EVGA have already released bios updates to fix this. MSI should follow eventually.
Nevermind, I was wrong. See below.

I am unsure if it a flaw in the trio design or if I just got a bad card. i sort of think it is more likely that I got a bad card as the issue would be much more wide spread if it was a design flaw. I mean reviewers would catch on to something like that I would think. anyways I think the card is likely just faulty and you should probably contact msi about the issue.

I did set it to 110% in afterburner lol. You think I hadn't tried everything in the book to fix the thing? I even under-clocked the thing and had 110% power or normal. tried both and still no cigar. the thing even made hdr glitch out and yet when I got the new card it was completely fine from the beginning to end. I crashed in overwatch inn 1080p which isn't even that demanding. if underclocking the card didn't stop the crashing then more wouldn't as well. I talked with msi and they told me to get it replaced through RMA or the retailer so it doesn't make me think it is normal. if it was that big of an issue they would have said they were working on it and told me to hold off on returning it. anyways i think you are oversimplify it.

Yeah I am unsure it is the same for everyone. I have an rm850x and had 3 separate cables connected to the card and triple checked all connections and still had this issue. I think some cards were just faulty. not much you can do about it tbh.
