CPU replacement, upgrade

Hi guys! I have i7-2600 and i am thinking about good replacement option. It will be a good choice to replace it with something like i3-8100 or any of cheap Ryzens. Yours recomendations ?

go for ryzen 1600x and a b350 mother board later you can update bios and upgrade your CPU. or you can buy a new 450b mother board with second hand 1600x or 1700x whichever suitable. You should also buy couple of DDR4 rams 3000Mhz at least

I think he means what motherboard do you currently have. That would give you an idea on what Intel upgrades you'd have, assuming you wanted to upgrade only the CPU.

As for Ryzen, a 2600, or 2600X is a strong value combined with an A320 or B350 board.

go for ryzen R5 2600x and a B450 mother board. The mother board can support later versions of ryzen so you can change the CPU for an upgrade. If you decide to go an intel system do not choose an i3, i5 at least. But with intel each CPU upgrade will be needing a mainboard upgrade too.

I have i7-2600, and mobo for it (h61). I want to replace a whole combo with different one. But my budget is not that much. I can get something like i3-8100, Ryzen 3 2200g and etc. I need help for choosing CPU and then choosing mobo will be a easy job.
