Hi can someone please tell me is this CPU temperature normal for Gaming ? I have recently been getting some FPS spikes while Playing GTA V and Far cry 5. So i'm trying to figure out what's causing it. I've heard that hitting 80C on CPU temp is bad and as you can see in the picture it hits 80C at some points.
I currently only have the stock Fan on CPU and one back fan on the case.

Here's my PC specs,

Asus H110i Plus - motherboard
Intel core i7 7700 - CPU
4*2 8GB RAM
Hitachi Hua 2tb HDD
Nvidia GTX Geforce 1050ti - GPU

Solution
A little warm, but I suspect you are using the stock Intel cooler? That is to be expected.

If you want it cooler, an aftermarket CPU cooler is the way to go.

Yes I am Using the stock Intel cooler. I'm going to get a cooler master cooler and see how it changes the temperature.
Thank you so much :)

Thanks, I have Themaltake versa N21 snow case.
Which fan would you recommend under $150 ?

Eximo

Titan
Ambassador
Any of the above would work just fine. Under $150 is a LOT of options. Being a locked processor it won't ever generate huge amounts of heat, so no real need to exceed the $35-50 range.

Evo 212 has stuck around by name alone. It is a good heatsink (which fits in your case by the way), but the fan is quite noisy for the performance. You can replace the fan with a quieter one though. I've paired it with a Corsair 120 SP before with good success.

The above recommendations typically perform as good or better than the Evo 212, are often easier to install, and are shorter.

If you actually want to spend up to $150 then here is a very good air cooler: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FRYLrH/be-quiet-dark-rock-4-cpu-cooler-bk021

Or a very nice liquid cooler:

Both very much overkill.
