Hey folks, I'm having an issue after cleaning my fans and reapplying some thermal paste. My old SSD died the other day so I decided to add a new one and clean it while I was at it. Now I'm having the issue that there is no bootup at all. With only the power cord and motherboard attached I still can't get boot up. At the same time the processor gets extremely hot quickly. Did I fry my motherboard? Thanks for the help!

Solution
Unplug the power cord, remove the battery, press the power button for 30 seconds the connect the power cord only.
Press the power button and keep pressing the F2 or ESC key to access the BIOS.
That is not a way to measure temperature on a PC.
Of course it will be super hot to the touch...you could get burned around 45° C but that will be a low temperature for a CPU in a laptop.

Isn't your laptop powering up isn't booting up?
Are you able to get into the BIOS?
