I just bought 2 more sticks of ballistix sport ddr4 ram clocked at 2400mhz which is the same sticks of ram I have right now. But when I added the new ram my computer would not boot. So I tested each ram stick which all of them work and are seated properly. I am also on windows 10 64bit so it supports more than 4gb of ram. I have updated the bios to the latest version and cleared the cmos. I don't really know what else to try. Any suggestions would be helpful. It will boot with 3 sticks but not 4 even though all sticks work and all slots work.
Pc specs:
I5 6600k
Msi z170a pc mate
Gtx 1060

Solution
Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Other combinations you decide to make have no guarantee to be compatible together.

Workarounds for getting extra memory to work include:
1) Lower memory clock speed
2) Relax DRAM timings
3) Increase DRAM voltage

Using a single kit is recommended and guaranteed. I suggest you return the new memory and sell your old memory and buy a single kit for your PC.

by how much should I increase it from 1.2v to 1.3v or more?
Update still won't post even with dram voltage increase.
