I have an AMD Athlon II 240 CPU and was wondering what would be the best CPU that i can buy that would still ne compatible. My computer is an HP pavilion a4327c-b. I don't want to go out and buy a whole new system, I'd just like to upgrade my current pc.

HP information says AM2+ CPUs, of 95W or less TDP. The best would be the fastest Phenom II X4 95W you can afford. 'Best' meaning for gaming. If you buy a CPU that does not come with the original heatsink/fan, you may need to get a replacement. I wouldn't count on the one you are using now being sufficient.
