Hi everyone,
I have a gtx 1080 msi gaming x. When I ran heaven benchmark, the gpu clock speed went higher than the boost clock by 150mhz. And when I overclocked my gpu by 100 mhz, it went to 2100mhz instead of going to around 1950mhz. I used msi afterburner to do the OC. My temperature was at around 55 C during the whole test. When I reached 150mhz, the benchmark crashed. Someone please help me figure out what is happening.

Nvidia cards are very sensitive to temperature and will Boost very high if they're kept cool enough, what's happening is YOU are overclocking by 100MHz but the Boost program is adding its own as well, hence the big jump.
And BTW, the cards will start to lower their Boost frequency once they hit <>60C so your card is Boosting to its maximum because it is so cool.
