As the title says, been unable to get a connection because of it.
I already tried to reinstall drivers a dozen times, and I even tried to see if the ethernet adapter is even recognized anymore by running a Ubuntu live CD, both without results. Ubuntu does detect the adapter but can't seem to utilize it. The status LEDs blink under Windows and stay solid under Ubuntu.
I also tried resetting Windows and it did nothing.
Someone on this site had a similar problem and he was told to take a look at Event Viewer so thats what I did and I'm getting the same 'PROBLEM: Unable to start device ACTION: Download the newest drivers from intels website' Errors and also errors about the adapter having an invalid MAC adress.
I know that it's not caused by some sort of virus because I scanned my PC a few times with both Malwarebytes and Emsisoft.
My motherboard (ASUS ROG STRIX X470-F) is about a month old and I don't really want to do an RMA on it if I don't have to. So, Is there still hope or is the Ethernet Adapter toast?
