I just bought 1 module of 8 gbon 3000mhz ram corsair vengeance lpx cmk8gx4m1d3000c16 can i use it on a gygabite b360m d2v motherboard without damaging anything ?

Without damaging anything. Yes. Will it run at 3000Mhz? Maybe. Ryzen has been picky about RAM. Do a BIOS update ASAP to ensure maximum performance and stability.
