Future upgrades to this build

Very nice build...And I'm from the UK as well near London...

Yes it will handle the 2080 in 6 months with no issues whatsoever..

Be warned though, the price of the 8700K is rising fast and beyond normal at £400 now due to Intel shortages, so if you can buy it at that price do so now!!!!

You can save costs on the build without sacrificing too much. Also if you are going to swap out the card anyway, why not save money and use a 1060 - 1070 for now and then a get 2080 later?

Yes I noticed however I managed to get one that was shipped and sold by amazon for £300! Only downside is I have to wait 2 weeks.

I'm only looking at the 1080 because it's the best I can get now and i'm not necessarily going to get a 2080 in 6 months, it's more as an option if i'm underwhelmed by the 1080. Also at the current benchmarks (from what i've seen) i'd get a 1080ti over a 2080 as the performance is similar but i'm interested to see if the 20 series perform better with the newer games. Also i've been offered a 1080 for around £380 which is the main reason.

Yes it was driving me mad that the prices were that high! Wasn't planning on building one so soon but when I saw the price I just had to buy it haha.
