Hi,

I have nitro+ rx580 special edition. Which draws under my use around 150watts, sometimes all way to 200watts, im powring it with one pcie cable which is Y shape 8+8, which im using 6+8 pins to power my gpu.

My friend told me that ill fry the cable this way as i need to power the card with two separate cables to divide the wattage load on two cables instead of one.

I have thermaltake SMART SE 730WATT.

THANKS

The point of using 2 different ones is about balance.
So if you can use 2, use 2, but in reality, it won't really make a difference.
It just means 1 rail in the PSU is being used more than the other (unless the rail is combined).
But nothing bad will happen using 1, but most people will use 2 cables.
