Network Adaptor Issues

Recently my desktop started having issues connecting to the internet, sporadically going from fully functional to completely offline. My motherboard has a Wi-Fi receiver built in and I have a functioning Ethernet cable that works with other computers, but it only connects about 1/10 tries. I looked in the device manager to see if I could pinpoint the problem, and found that whenever I couldn't connect, the wireless network adaptor was completely gone from the list. I made sure to uncheck the "allow your computer to turn off for power reasons" option, but the problem persists. After all this, and because I don't have any PCI slots left, I decided to pick up a USB network adaptor to try and bypass the finicky onboard adaptor, but even after successfully downloading the drivers when I had an internet connection, I still cannot connect to the internet with it. The USB adaptor shows up in the device manager, is enabled, and is apparently functioning correctly, but I still cannot connect to the internet, troubleshooting just sticks me in a loop of "plug in an Ethernet cable." I'm at a loss as to what to do next, any help would be appreciated. My relavent specs are as follow:
Windows 10
Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming Wi-Fi
Ryzen 5 1600X

Thank you.

Solution
With W10, I always blame the driver, u must make sure the LAN driver is W10-specific, from Gigabyte directly or whoever your USB dongle vendor is, NOT Microsoft.
