To be honest I don’t know much about computers and looking for my first gaming computer. Mostly play rally and racing games:D irt rally, project cars 2etc. But play siege and battlefield 1 sometimes. I have a full fanatec rig set up already for Xbox but would like to get more out of it by using it with computer(rev lights, more setup etc.)
Have €1500 set aside in total but have about 600 for a monitor(thinking lg 34UC79G-B or LG 34UC89G-B, open to suggestions on that too) and €100 for miscellaneous stuff like mouse, keyboard and monitor mount.
All help appreciated

Although a 34" screen is pretty huge. I would recommend going for a smaller screen like a 32" or even 27" (which tbh is very good already). That way you can go for higher end parts like the 2600X instead of the 2600. Faster RAM. Higher-end version of the GTX 1060 6Gb.

If you're willing to do that, you can get something like this.

Sorry forgot to say I’m from Ireland. Thanks for the replies but I’ve decided against building as I wouldn’t be confident. I’ve found a six month old setup with the following specs:

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming
CPU: Intel core i7-4790k (4.0ghz, can be boosted easly to 4.4ghz by itself)
Fan Cooler: Alpenfohn Matterhorn White CPU Cooler
MotherBoard: Gigabyte Z97X Gaming GT
Pawer Supply: Cougar VTX 650w Plus Bronze
SSD: Hynix SL308 120GB
HDD: 1TB seagate Barracuda 7200rpm
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8gb 2x4gb
Case: Silverstone Redline RL06 Pro Gaming Case

Mouse - Steelseries Rival 310
MousePad - Steelseries QCK+
Keybord - Dell

Also getting a aoc Agon AG271QX with it for €1200. Seems to be fairly good to me but as I said I don’t know much about computers. I appreciate if you could give me your opinion on it.

The monitor is 2k, without G sync.

1 year or 2 year ago, that would be totally fine. But games now are more demanding.

The system can't be upgraded further as it's a dead platform.

With these in mind, I wouldn't recommend that.

If you can find a ddr4 based system, atleast you can reuse the rams.

Furthermore, I am not sure if that cougar psu is a good one or bad....

I’ve watched a good few builds and read quite a bit about the process tonight. It seems fairly simple. I really didn’t expect it to be just plugging in connectors. Think I’m confident enough about building one now
