I'm looking for a good value, low budget gpu with the sole intention to play these games:
CSGO
Killing Floor 2
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2
Halo CE
D2
Skyrim
Gears of War 1 (not UE)
Bad Company 2
I have 5 HP 6300/8200 machines, that will be used for LAN parties. I have no serious intention to upgrade them any time soon. I just want to be able to play these games at a stable fps, while still maintaining good headroom on the PSU (240w).
The cards I have researched are as follows:
HD 7570 (1 GB GDDR5) $15-$20
HD 8570 (2 GB GDDR3) $20-$25
R7 250 (2 GB GDDR3) $30-$40
I personally am leaning toward the 7570 because it's cheap and should play most of those games, with the exception of Skyrim and maybe Killing Floor 2, but that isn't a deal breaker. I like the R7 250, but I am leaning against it just to play it safe with the small PSU. As much as I would like the GT 1030, it's about $80 used right now, and I can't justify spending $400 for the games listed; moreover, my own personal PC plays all the games I want.
So, what do you all think? Is there a GPU I might be missing that is superior for the price, or do you think one of these is the best choice? And most importantly, will it still have ample headroom for the 240w PSU?
