Hello Tom's Hardware community,
Few days ago I put together a ryzen 2700x build. When ever I'm doing something (opening up programs, scrolling certain web pages, opening tabs, stress testing...) my pc starts making a high pitch noise which reminds me of a cricket (I'll provide you with a audio file). My initial thought was that it was the power suply (Corsair RM650i) so I replaced it over amazon, but the noise is still here. Could it be the motherboard (the noise seems to be comming from the bottom portion of the PC). What part is faulty and what can I do about it?
The noise can only be heard from good speakers or headphones, it also might be too high to be audiable by some people.
