High internet speed, but not as good ping

I have a 1gbps internet connection. My download is usually around 900mbps and my upload is usually around 950mbps. I am using a Ethernet cable CAT7e for my gaming laptop, but still get 30-40ms/ping. Yes I know that this ping is good enough, but why am I not getting 1-10ms?

Unless the game server was co-located with your laptop your ping won't change. Your ping is based on the distance (speed of light) and the number of devices the traffic has to traverse. You don't change either of those variables by increasing your transfer speed from your ISP.
