C drive locking out randomly

my C/E drive has been locking out a lot when i'm trying to do something the active time goes to 100% read/write and responce time falls to 0 ms/kbs.

its happened with other drives of mine: my 1tb hdd and my 500gb ssd (5yrs old-dead)
i know its not a virus since i scan every week, and all my drives have plenty of free space
i've posted about this a couple times with no help so if anyone can help me fix this issue i would be over the moon.

Wait. Youmean it maxes out. Look in Resource Monitor abd check the drive tab to see what’s using the drive

when i run the hdtune it locks out my c drive and i am unable to do anything until i force it closed

Resource Monitor doesn't show any problem. Only 12% disk activity.

Try to get screenshot from HDtune. May need to wait a bit longer. If HDtune is locking it up, this may signal about drive health issues.

i had to take one with my phone since my pc likes to be a pain. hope they help

Toshiba Dt01aca050 is 500GB sata mechanical drive (HDtune health screenshot is fine, but benchmark is terrible btw).
BUT it is not 1tb hdd nor 500gb ssd.

Can you list model names of your drives and HDtune health screenshots from both of them?

That is not SSD.

To add to the list of things that are happening, this morning i got a windows blue screen with the message Critical Process Died i managed to fix it i believe and ran sfc /scannow in cmd witch found and repair errors in my disc. the freezing is still there so it didn't fix that

BTW - your 1TB drive has much better performance characteristics than 500GB drive.
May be move (or reinstall) windows to 1TB drive.

Or even better - get SSD for your system.
