Updated my Bios and now programs won’t start

I downloaded the bios update suggested by the manufacturers website for my system and now my computer won’t open most programs. It’s as if they crash upon start. It won’t even open some pages in the control panel

The only solution is to do a fresh install of windows again.

dont update bios from iside of windows it will fail. go back to the mb vendor web page make sure you have the right bios. download and unzip the newest file to a usb stick. with the stik plugged in go into the bios and under the utlilty tab will be bios updater for most mb. update the bios from the usb stick.
