Asus boot problem

I have problem I have reinstalled Windows 7 on HDD i had before in asus K50AD. (I reinstalled it in other notebook coz Asus cant boot the cd) Now when I set HDD back to Notebook a HDD cannot be booted also when i put inside CDwith win7 it dont load and boot. Changed setting to IDE also cant boot.Also changed boot priority. But when I place HDD to HP book it works . Any idea?

You will need to install the OS while the HDD is populating your laptop, not a donor laptop. On another note, you should set your primary boot device as the CD/optical drive when you want to boot from your Windows recovery CD and after installation, revert the primary boot device as your HDD.

From the way your post is stylized, it seems the optical drive on your Asus laptop is damaged(provided the settings in BIOS were all defaults) and explains why it works on your HP laptop but not your Asus laptop.

FYI, storage controller should be set to AHCI, not IDE. If you go from AHCI>IDE>AHCI, you'll get a BSOD after the 4 Windows 7 bubbles appear.
