I have been having a lot of problems with my Seagate 2 TB hard drive, as it has caused multiple blue screen errors when running games and pulling files/data, and I have come to believe it is slowly corrupting. I am rather ignorant when it comes to the topic of corrupt storage units, but I have decided to make a much needed upgrade to a 1 TB SSD. I was going to see if anyone had any recommendations for software that I could use to move my OS from my HDD to SSD. Also, is there a corrupt file on my HDD that is causing it to be so slow/corrupt? I wouldn't want to move over all my files to this SSD and cause the same issues on a new storage unit.

Do you mean will bad sectors on TB2 affect the quality of a clone/copying operation ? Copying means reading from the source and writing to the destination. Bad sectors are physical properties, can not be read and sectors cannot be transferred to the destination. If you mean literally will bad files be copied, the answer is yes. The other thing to look for when cloning the drive is whether any data was lost if the original drive has actually acquired bad sectors.
