Hello i have gigabyte AX370 gaming k5 motherboard i want to buy 3200mhz ram. I think i will buy
G.Skill RipjawsV 16GB DDR4-3200MHz (F4-3200C16D-16GVKB) . They will run at 3200mhz on this mobo? i saw a review on these from someone with the same mobo saying he was able to run them at 3600mhz should i trust this?

Solution

The figure is misleading. Mem compatility issues happen to all new CPUs, will stabilize with new BIOS update. gskill website is similar story as motherboard manufacturer limited QVL testing.
For GA it is even worse as they...
Be careful on compatibility for ryzen ram.
Not all ddr4 ram will be compatible.
It also depends on the ryzen generation and how many sticks.
Here is the official spec:
https://www.pugetsystems.com/pic_disp.php?id=48164&width=800&height=800

Looking at the g.skil ram selector for your motherboard, I find this list of supported kits:
https://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=54&chip=2952&model=2966
Ripjaws V is not on the list.

The fastest will be trident Z at 2933.
You might do better but do not count on it.

For GA it is even worse as they mostly only test single channel and very little 3200 ram kits...
Ripsaw should serve you well.
