3000 is not great deal higher than native 2666. Very good chance you'll still hit 3000 with 4x8GB. Worse case it doesn't and runs at 2666 instead which between them and 3000 is not much at all and you'll benefit more with 32GB than 344Mhz less.
Ghost Recon plays much better with 32GB than 16. Also browsing while alt tabbed is better.
